Frequently asked questions

What Pikolee does today, how guests and staff use it, and what needs agreeing before a pilot.

Pikolee and guests

What does Pikolee do?

Pikolee turns routine in-room guest requests into items hotel staff can see and handle in one dashboard. Guests submit a request through an in-room QR code; staff take ownership and resolve it. Pikolee is neither a replacement for your PMS nor a complete app for the entire stay.

Do guests need an app or an account?

No. The in-room QR code opens a mobile website. Guests do not need to download an app or create an account to submit a request.

What can guests request?

The current guest interface supports four types of request: towels, room cleaning, additional amenities and reporting a problem. Taxi, breakfast, spa services and room service are outside this current selection.

How does Pikolee identify the room?

Each participating room has its own QR access. Once verified, Pikolee associates the request with the correct room, so guests do not have to enter a room number.

Can guests check their request status?

Yes. Within their guest access, they can see their requests and whether each one has been received, is in progress, has been completed or cannot be fulfilled. This status view is not a chat with staff.

Hotel operations

How do requests reach hotel staff?

Submitted requests appear in the hotel dashboard with the room, request type and relevant details. A signed-in employee can claim a request, mark it completed or indicate that it cannot be fulfilled. Reception can also enter a request received by phone or in person.

Does Pikolee automatically route requests to departments?

Automatic routing to housekeeping, maintenance or other departments is not part of the current pilot workflow. A staff member claims the request in the hotel dashboard. The division of responsibility needs to be agreed with the hotel before launch.

Does Pikolee send push, email or SMS alerts to staff?

The current operational flow centres on a dashboard for signed-in staff. We do not present automatic push, email or SMS staff alerts as an available feature. Tell us early if a particular alert is essential to your operation.

Can request types be customised for each hotel?

The current version has the four request types listed above. We agree which rooms join the pilot and how requests will be handled, but arbitrary new categories or a different selection for each room should not be treated as existing features.

Scope and integrations

Is Pikolee a digital guest directory?

No. Its main job is to capture and fulfil operational requests. A catalogue of hotel information, local recommendations and a complete digital guest directory are outside the current version.

Can guests order and pay for extras?

The current version does not provide paid-service ordering, payments or hotel POS integration. Breakfast, parking, spa, late checkout and room service are not ready-made ordering modules.

Does Pikolee need a PMS? Are integrations available?

The core workflow operates independently of a PMS. We do not offer a ready-made PMS, POS or CRM integration as part of the current pilot. Requests are handled in Pikolee's own dashboard; we can discuss any essential integration individually.

Which languages are available?

The guest interface works in Czech and English. Further language needs would have to be assessed for each hotel.

Pilot, pricing and data

How is Pikolee introduced, and who is it for?

We are preparing managed pilots with our first independent hotels. First, we review how you handle requests today, select the participating rooms and agree staff responsibilities and a fallback procedure. Live use by real guests begins only once the operational and legal conditions are met. A pilot is most relevant where routine requests are currently relayed manually through reception.

How much does Pikolee cost?

We do not yet publish a universal price list. We will agree the scope and terms of any pilot in writing before it starts; this page does not promise a particular price or charging model.

How does Pikolee handle guest data?

Guests do not create an account for a routine in-room request. Pikolee uses verified room access and the details needed to handle that request. See our Privacy Notice for information about personal data; terms for a specific pilot must be agreed before launch.

Privacy Notice

What do you measure during a pilot?

Whether guests use the service, which requests occur most often, how staff handle them and where delays arise. The aim is to test its value in real operations, beyond whether the QR code works.
